The History of the AC ACE Bristol

The AC Ace had already established itself as a high capable, modern sport scar when it first appeared in 1953, however it lacked real high performance.
In 1956 a revised Ace arrived, now featuring a Bristol 2 liter engine (1971cc) which developed a healthy 120bhp.
The new car had much better performance than before and had an optional overdrive gearbox. From 1957 front disc brakes also appeared and the overdrive gearbox became standard equipment.
